traffic wins RGD Design at Work Competition

11 November 2008

Another wonderful recognition for the work that traffic created for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Canada....our 'Change the World' booklet was recognized as a winning entry at the prestigious The Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD Ontario) Design at Work competition, a juried exhibit of professional graphic design demonstrating how design creates value for business.

RGD represents graphic designers, managers, educators and students across Ontario and was created by an Act of the Ontario Legislature in 1996 to grant graphic designers who qualify the right to use the designation Registered Graphic Designer (R.G.D.). RGD Ontario is the only graphic design association in North America to have this kind of legislation.

"It is an honour to be recognized by such a distinguished group of our peers," comments Bernard Hellen, traffic's President + Creative Director.  "We applaud the R.G.D. for this initiative showcasing the value that graphic design brings to business communications ."

Traffic won in the category of ‘Green’: Design that demonstrates effectiveness in achieving environmentally-related objectives. The FSC project was selected for meeting our clients' goals through the development of advanced design concepts and was recognized for how design can impact a client's ability to communicate messages to key stakeholders and convey an organization's unique qualities with clarity, consistency, differentiation and energy.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Canada is an international certification and labeling system for paper and wood products that come from responsibly managed forests, and verified recycled sources. Environmental groups around the world agree that choosing FSC-certified paper and wood products is the best choice for our forests and for our communities.
